creswell-3081There are many different aspects to building surveying from building surveys of both commercial and residential properties to inspecting and analysing specific defects.

There are therefore many areas where we can be of assistance when it comes to dealing with property.

Individual defects and problems within properties can be inspected and reported upon for potential purchasers, insurance claims or peace of mind – this is often found after initial valuation when purchasing new property.

Even if your plans are drawn and your schedules prepared, you may wish to have the benefit of on-site supervision of work that is being carried out.  We can provide a level to suit any requirements.  This will ensure that all construction is carried out to the correct standard and take any worries away from the project.

PARTY WALLS
Certain extension and alteration projects now fall under the Party Wall Act etc 1995.  We can advise upon any responsibilities in this respect if a development is being considered and also if an adjoining owner is planning a similar project.  Both the building and adjoining owners require their interests protecting, which may necessitate Party Wall Awards and Schedules of Condition.
Many people are still unaware of the act so call our office if you think you may be affected by adjoining developments – we are here to help!

DEFECT ANALYSIS

Individual defects and problems within properties can be inspected and reported upon for potential purchasers, insurance claims or peace of mind – this is often found after initial valuation when purchasing new property.

We deal with both residential & commercial properties:

For residential clients we undertake building surveys, inspect specific defects and produce drawings for all types of extension and alteration, including planning, listed building and building regulation applications.

Our commercial clients, old or new, have asked us to undertake building surveys, schedules of condition, or dilapidation, along with general refurbishment contracts and planned maintenance.  Certain projects fall under certain regulations and we can advise as required.  Our architectural skills cover the commercial sector from initial measured survey through to completed layout plans that can be viewed on the web site.

We can tailor our services to meet your requirements.
We have considerable experience when dealing with public houses, retail shops, whether for large companies or individuals contemplating a new lease.
Our services can provide comprehensive advice in relation to condition, improvements that may be required and any intended alterations.

We deal with the refurbishment of property from initial inspection through to final client handover, including all drawings, schedules and site supervision as required. We often find ourselves dealing with listed buildings and have considerable experience with barn conversions (see architectural services).
