In July 2020 we were approached by our retail client to assess the potential of providing much needed office space within a 5000sq Metre building they were considering for purchase. Our initial survey of the building revealed no major structural issues although we did find extensive damage to the existing profiled sheet roof covering requiring urgent attention. These works were undertaken as required before purchase by the vendors saving our client an extensive outlay.
We went on to produce existing and proposed layouts of the building and held productive talks with the planning dept of the local authority for the proposed works. All planning and technical drawings were produced as required and applications made. Approvals were received at the end of 2020 and with all haste works commenced on site in January 2021 after securing terms with a suitable contractor for the £1.2M contract.
The contract period was six months, and the completed project was handed to the client in June 2021 for full occupation.

The client is now in full occupation and enjoying the additional 1000sq metres of office space that fully meets their requirements.
